Politics in Photo Societies

Intesting topic...
The reason I haven't joined any clubs / societies is precisely because of the politics there.
Have always wanted to contribute back to society, teaching, volunteering etc but I have been holding back to join to the society because I've heard a lot about the politics that goes on inside..

Sad... but that's life..

Few years back, the Singapore Chess Federation also got some dispute between some of the members and the Exco, fight until go High Court.

Humans, society and politics are all part of an equation. But not all politics are bad, though perhaps most are. It all sums up to the motive and intent of the parties involved.

When photographers want to enter politic they form a society.:)

so you met up with the self-proclaimed jedis and the purported sith-lords  :bsmilie:

take heart lah, just enjoy your photography. may the force be with you :)

Lol. I already see politics right here in this forum. What to do? Just try not to be a part of it

Some office bearers went into the annual meeting with their Chewbacca for a show of strenght.

And most standing for re-election are ex-Jedi with a few clones thrown in. But when they lost they retired to The Dark Side. :)

Lord Sidious controls it all behind the scenes actually.

It's just human nature. TS, don't be too bothered about it. I know which society you are referring to :)

One year some members of Old Republic were not elected and a Rebel Alliance was formed to undermine the reigning Empire.

The Light Side of the Force eventually won power with the help of Droids and Ewoks. :)

The photographers who are interested in politics are power-thirsty Jar Jar Binks with DSLRs hanging from the necks. :)

wow, sounds like good supper time entertainment

last year i joined a bunch of like-minded photographers around my area. the original idea was casual get-together, chitchat, sharing, makan, etc.

by the time we completed 2 meetups within 1 month, they were talking about electing office bearers :what: thats when i decided to get out.

Was there a Obi-Wan-Kenobi among them?
