Reminder
Please be reminded that you're only allowed to post 1 picture every 3 days for critique request.
There are queries about the counting of the 3 days, as we cannot standardize when 3 days starts for all members, the 3 days is calculated from the time the 1st post is made for the preceding thread.
NOTICE 1 - 16th April 2007 Short Writeup Made Compulsory
From 16th April 2007 onwards, a short writeup will be made compulsory for every picture posted for critique.
Pictures posted without a short writeup that includes the following will be moved or deleted without notice.
1. in what area is critique to be sought?
2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture
writings like 'C&C Welcomed' or 'i took this at Ang Mo Kio' are not counted as short writeup.

NOTICE 2 - 25th April 2007 One Image Per Thread Reminder
Please refrain from posting new different images in addition to the original image in the thread. any new images will be deleted to keep the thread clean. TS is encouraged to start a new thread to obtain critique for any new photo other than the one originally posted in the thread. PS'ed versions of the original photo is OK to illustrate the points in the critique.
NOTICE 3 - 7th May 2007 Videos and animations not accepted
Videos and animations will not be accepted in Critique Corner.
''Moving Pictures'' section is still undergoing finetuning and yet to settle down, so postings of videos and animations will not be considered for the time being.
NOTICE 4 - 19th March 2008 Posting of others' works for critique
Posting of a piece of work belonging to another person will be allowed on the following conditions
1. there is proper reference/acknowledgement given to the original creator/owner of the work posted.
2. there is permission from that creator/owner to have the work posted here.
Posting Tips
Critique seekers are encouraged to post your best pictures for critique. A picture with good amount of effort spent to produce will generate more interest than one that's sloppily worked out. It is also only fair to those who will be spending time giving their feedback that critique seekers put in the equivalent effort in their work.

Critique seeker should also embed the picture within the thread instead of just providing links. This is a simple act of courtesy since the Critique Seeker initiates the critique request.
