Managed to buy a Tamron MC4 1.4X Teleconverter from ian0138 bro (thx again), so took it out for testing. The result is not bad on a Vivitar S1 105mm. alanswan watch out^^;

Nice attempt^^ You got it with f5.6, near or with 1:1 macro and focus sharp at the "cheek" hair.

Welcome and nice shot^^ Try running it through Auto Contrast in PS or Element for better exposure^^

I tried some macros with the Sigma 105 at Chinese Garden today, and I died trying to get 1:1 shots. Almost impossible to overcome camera shake when bending over, trying to focus using the body and keeping sufficient DOF. I totally suck at macro Need to rethink this whole macro business...
