K100D + Tamron 90mm macro (added Kenko 1.5x TC for some shots, but can't remember which ones...)
nice shot gengh...I'm thinking my next target would be a DA70 but now the tamron 70 looks delicious too..heh heh

Tamron's got a 70? I think you are referring to a Sigma Macro? If not, then it's Tamron 90?

IR with lensbaby. That's interesting.
I guess most lenses will work well with the IR converted DSLR. eg. using IR filter on my 21mm Ltd with K20D, it has hot spots. FW used his 21mm Ltd on the IR converted DSLR. It doesn't have the hot spots.

Hmm... with this, does it mean that IR will not be limited to landscapes anymore (at least that was my general impression)? Should try IR macro. Or IR XMM. Maybe one day we'll have IR event coverage!

If you want a 70mm macro, could consider the Sigma one, most of the stuff I've read about it are very positive. But could be difficult to find it locally I think....
You don't need a converter to take macros with the Tamron 90mm, it's great on its own! I really like this lens even for non-macro stuff. It is now my standard short tele lens, until I get my hands on a DA*50-135. ;p

hrm, i did a few more, sometimes there is hotspotting, sometimes there isn't, i can't put my finger on it though. will post up the later ones soon, have not processed yet.IR with lensbaby. That's interesting.

ir was never limited to landscapes, jsut that without a modded cam you would need too long an exposure for macro or portraits or events, etc..
i think there have been people like davidkow here doing ir for xmm..
people look pretty cool in ir.. well i'll be sure to bring it along if i ever shoot models.. though is unlikely.. not much interest,.
