Did not fire the flash straight at my dog. Had a omibounce attached onto the flash and tilted 60 degrees.
Had a hard time shooting him as he is camera shy. Running and hiding away from my camera. :bsmilie:

Flash normally is ok lah. Just when dogs are in ring will be different as they are all fighting to get the gold. With every award they get, the price of the dog increase and the reputation of the kennel increase also. A flash could had distracted the dog and cause the dog its chance:sweat:

Thx. If u interested and insects are freaky to u, you can always try taking water droplets on tip of grass/leaf, or do floral macros^^
Dragonflies u need to look for those "friendly" ones. skippers (the butterflies) are friendly, they normally allow u to get quite near. The papaya fruitfly is feeding so getting close is easy. Spiders and house flies are one of those easier subjects, just need to be quick.
May thing is no big movement or too many side movements. Try to be slow approaching but fast taking the shot. Problem with reverse lens is it tends to be very dark, so focusing in shades tends to be a challenge.
Edit: 28mm reverse working distance is abt 5cm^^ so it aren't so bad^^;

believe me, the k100d won't be able to see all that detail, DR is relatively clipped. i think with this i might need hdr less.

Don't see it as a benchmark^^; But references for what you can try, this is the reason for me to post here^^ Sharing and improving^^ I'd always said this, if I can do it, anyone can. Mainly due to the fact I dun have good eyesight like most of u. My shortsightness is 1000+ degree for each eye^^;
