It's Tominoko Hotel in Kawaguchi. Thanks for appreciating the shot.

Des, those are really nice shots of the kingfisher.

Series 2 should be Kyoto, right?

Hope to see Mt Fuji the next time I'm in Japan, there's just so many things to see there!
Yap, it's kyoto. Many temples over there. In fact Japan's a haven for photographers. It was supposed to be a honeymoon trip with my wife. But turned out to be a bit of a honeymoon trip with my K10d. Shhh... dun let my wife hear this.

If I'm using long tele lens, normally I will bring a monopod to help me keep steady.;)

Thanks Bernard. Do a search in the internet.;) It's a common woodpecker here so quite easy to get the ID.

Some xmm photos before I fell sick on Saturday :( So most of the photos came out lousy. Photos of Queenie and Lenneth with lollipops ;p, taken at Fort Canning with DA 40 and 70mm pancakes.

C&C please..

Nice shots Kent!
Hope I can do the same too with the same lens. :)
I am curious why you chose the wide angle 21mm for such closeup shots instead of your 77mm instead? All that extra space would be wasted?
Hope you will rejoin the rebellion one day..
