Always like your composition...

Scorpioh's Japan Series 1

Sharing some of my pics from Japan. Street photographers will go crazy there! Very nice colors and street scenes, unlike anything you'll ever find in singapore. On my k10d and sigma 17-70 (mostly 17). I'll share more (e.g. mount fuji, Disneyland) if you like them. No PP btw, at most crop (minimal) and resize.

It can be done^^ These are taken with my faulty K10D before it was sent for repaired. The thing is you need to control the bokeh and maybe use natural mode with no contrast and saturation compensation. Fill flash will help too, if u do it correctly^^

Like this one... the words there (not sure what it means except the Mt Fuji) actually make it feel like a video capture, some kind of sub-title.. :bsmilie:...but what do i know.

Wow! Nice! Where is this?
Before this, the best view I've found for Mt Fuji was Hakone.
Let me fill in some details for the after sunset shot. This shot was taken after sunset, yeap! It's at the foot of Mount Fuji at a lake called Kawaguchi, where my hotel was - imagine dinning and hot spring bath beside such senery. Exif: 17mm, f2.8, 1/15secs, iso200, +0.7step, TAv mode. It was after my dinner and I couldn't resist the scene and rush out of the hotel to take the shot. Notice there's a bit of nice vignetting since it's wide open on my sigma1770. Somehow this pic just touches me. I put in the Japanese words to "hua long dian jing"; hopefully not "hua she tian zhu". Actually to be frank, my japanese also not strong, just agar agar put one - trying to mean Mount Fuji after sunset, don't know correct or not. Hahah. Again, no PP on colors/cropping - I am quite a purist in this aspect.

But really happy that you all appreciate the shot. Cos I show my colleagues, no one commentted. >:

I do think the tree in the middle is a little distracting though. But nevertheless, I appreciate the serenity of the shot. Relaxes me...
