Hi
Nice shots.. Care to share your WB setting? Or did you take this in raw and adjusted later?
For my experience, such ligthing always results in too warm colours. If I set to "Tungsten" , they will appear a little bluish..
Thanks!

Thanks for your positive comment. I didn't shot in RAW, too lazy to do processing ;p.

I just checked with my files, all 3 were shot in Aperture Priority Automatic Exposure mode, F2.0, 1/60s, Automatic WB, Multi-segment metering. ISO for #1 and #3 are 200, #2 is #400.

I guess the nice colors are results from great K10D + 50mm/1.4, definitely not my skills :embrass:.

Denis, I like this very much.

So many great IR photos showed here make me wanna give it a try. :)

Thanks bro for the compliment. BTW your shots of your kids = energy. Shot of your daughter looking up the red slide is

Actually I didn't really intend to shoot as I was a little bored and wandered around after having my drink. Took a couple of exposures and as the shutter speed was hovering around 1/6 to 1/10 second handheld at f4.5, wasn't really sure it would turn out. Well thanks to Pentax's fantastic Shake Reduction, pictures are acceptably sharp. :)

Here's one more. No cropping done for all shots.

Thanks bro. 3 of us were having fun yesterday :) BTW, I think the camera is a bit underexposed as I had to compensate the exposure. eg. the shot of my daughter lookup was compensated with +1 EV. I was using spot metering. Not really sure if I set anything wrong.

Was having tea with my wife at the Botanic Gardens and managed to try out some IR shots. No tripod, so all shots handheld and pushed ISO. K100D DA 18-55mm ISO 1600 with R72.

Wow... What ISO you shot at?
Still looks damn good man...
Now I feeling so gian to get a K100D for backup + IR...

But pocket still hurting from lens buying spree last month...

I used ISO 1600.
Shots were taken about 3.30pm, yet exposures were still about 1/6 to 1/10 second at f4-4.5. Obviously, if I had a tripod, I might have shot at a lower ISO. Honestly, I'm quite impressed by the quality at ISO 1600 and the Shake Reduction.

Actually kudos to night86mare on his IR walkthrough. I think many should try to make it for his last outing before he leaves for the UK. Definitely very informative and will jump start the learning process for anyone wanting to dabble in IR.

WOW! The 1st one looks very cute!
Speechless.
fengwei, you really captured a very special moment of your daughter, especially the 1st photo.
Great shots. Always like your kids shots. Thanks for sharing.
Sweet! I always have a softspot for kids...

Thanks guys :) Glad you like them too. I've got so many kids photos, but I don't wanna spoil the whole thread with all similar kids photos ;)

Cheers!

Very nice set of IRs, Denis, especially love the last one.

I'd give the IR a try someday, when I get the filter :)
