Got another shot I quite like today (K20D+DA35/2.8):

The CAT

You must be really up close... Beautiful details. Should be a mix of the 35mm's quality and the K20D's details!

1 word - Swee!

Beautiful shot as usual  Really love the soft lighting.

Thanks.

Now this picture would make an excellent poster for the K20D.
Nice clean colours and great sharpness. The subject would convey the right message to other competing brands. So fierce that they better not play, play with Pentax...

Yeah, I had to push the lens hood in to take some shots of the cat :) Seems it's quite interested in the DA35 lens too ;)

Thanks.

Thanks Denis. I got some more of the same cat. Will post some later on :)

Here are some more cat photos by DA35 lens:

The cat became quite comfortable w/ me and the cam, I could get pretty close to it. I had to push the lens hood in to take the following one:

And 100% crop of the eye:

Here is a flower shot I quite like:

This is beautiful.

The 35mm has just jumped queue to number one of my never ending wanted list...

Whoa, that cat looks angry!

Taken today while on my way to the Asian Civ Museum*.

From RAW, crop and PP.

* Everytime I finish an ACM trip, I am ready to put my camera down, sell my gear and walk away from it all. It seems to be a really difficult environment for shooting, with horrible lighting conditions, very high dynamic range (bright tungsten bulbs shining on specimens placed on black felt), and shadows, shadows, shadows! No flash or tripods allowed either. Either it's really a difficult environment, or I really suck at low light photography.

I took a few pics (RAW), mostly ISO 800 and 1100, haven't processed them yet...I dread the outcome.

I must say the K20D handles this shot very well...

you suck ?? no way, its normal...i always have the same problem... nothing unusual... using my old N gear also same what... dslr are like dat...u dun always capture what ur eyes can see...guess the same old saying is to shoot more and learn from them...the results turns bad at least u learn from it rather than you dunno how or why you got the good shot
want to handle high dynamic range...only fuji lor...

Been a while since I did some macro shots. All at 1:1 magnification, available light.
(alanswan, don't look if these give you the creeps :bsmilie:)

That's a beautiful IR photo

I'll be having another IR converted K100D next week. Hopefully I'd have more time to test this one out :)

Congrats, we both have something different to test with soon. The old one sold off.;):bsmilie:
