Great shot!
Sigh... why don't we have lighthouses to shoot in Singapore?

I think not in mainland itself. There is the Raffles lighthouse in Sultan Shore. I went and stayed on the island once. That is many years back, that is also the only place i see in singapore with a man made swimming pool that uses seawater and can only swim during high tides.

Nice shot night86mare.

Bro,
Raffles Lighthouse is located on Pulau Satumu whereas the lighthouse at Sultan Shoal is named after the place, i.e. Sultan Shoal Light House. There was an exhibition at Vivocity some weeks back on them.

Here are pictures taken from a Fujifilm Finepix V10. (sorry, I know this is a Pentax image thread but I only have them in this format...)
They are merely snapshots, not the night86mare-class type of arty shots..heh heh

This is the lagoon that Desmond talked about. Water is not so clean because of the garbage that the passing ships throw out. Also, at ow tide, part of the sandbank can be seen with countless tiny hermit crabs hidden beneath it. If you walk on the sand at high tide when the pool is "open for business", you may get bitten!

Since the 9-11 incident, the 3 main off shore lighthouses in Singapore (Raffles, Sultan Shoal and Horsbourgh) has been classified as protected areas so only people with official business can go there. I think Raffles may be open to the public wih restrictions, i.e. if grassroots leaders want to go and see it, they can request through MPA, which manages the lighthouses. At least that is my impression from the newspaper articles.

Great shot night86mare! Did you also take this shot in non-IR? Can show it also? I presume it would have a very nice clear blue sky as backdrop?
:)
