Was at Botanic Gardens last Sunday, some random shots.
I saw this little fella carrying a leaf up the tree. K20D + DA*300
IMGP5785ps.jpg

a strange one..not the usual monitor lizard.
This one seems to have a flap that will open like a peacock when antagonised...nice one, Arthur..:)

Some shots from the performances at the Esplanade over the weekend. Converted from RAW. As usual, I end up struggling to get the WB right. (looks correct in CS3, but not in IE due to color rendering differences). All photos from the next post onwards are heavily cropped followed by some PP, resize and USM.

The ability of the K20D + 50-135 to pull in detail is really breathtaking even at long distances.
Check out this 100% crop of a 1/160, f/4, ISO 1600 (NR: weak) shot. Only RAW converted with some ev push (~+0.15) in ACR, but no sharpening. I was seated on the last but one row of the amphitheater on the waterfront, but you can see the fine detail on the neck jewellery.:D
With some PP, much good can be done.

original resized to 750 pixels vertical.

Some scenes from the Balinese interpretation of the Hindu epic, The Ramayana:

Some nice shots skypacker but I think you need to keep to the TWO photos per post rule that fengwei has posted.

That is a common gliding lizard. The flag is triangular and bright yellow in colour so it's a male.

Thanks.:)
Sorry about the > 2 pics per post. I missed the first post of the thread by Fengwei.:embrass:

first posting with the fisheye. had cropped away all the distorted edges, so cant see the fisheye effect. i really like the close focus distance of the lens. so can use this lens for macro if you like an inclusive background!!

will use this lens for the walkabout this saturday.

Hey, that looks like Tong Lee Building at Kallang Pudding Road...
Band photograph? Cause I see the name Photoshopped in the top right.
Typical Hollywood style "Heroes" kind of pose - looking at the camera with attitude :bsmilie:

Good effort.
