StevO,
Thanks for sharing. Film is welcome here too! The bokeh effect for the F/2 seems a little different...

Fengwei : Nice series of zoo photos, especially the white tiger who was in the news recently.

Not sure about the what the bokeh supposed to look like.

Could have been the scanning from Photohub ?

This is the first time I am using a Pentax Camera and manual focus lens but loving it.

Will try to post more when I resize the photos...its too big at the moment for normal viewing on the computer.

Nice pictures fengwei. The animals are
Like the water splash gif image too.

eye contact with FW...is it because FW look delicious....

Fengwei, very nice pics from the zoo. Thanks for sharing.

Feng Wei, really enjoyed the splash gif.. Thank you for sharing!

Thanks Denis, Desmond and Bernard :) I think the kids enjoyed the trip the most. Even my son asks to go to the Zoo again almost everyday :D

FW, animals photos very sharp. How you manage the manual focus to get this sharpness?

Thanks bro :) The K135/2.5 is one of the better manual lenses, it's pretty easy to get a sharp result w/ this lens actually. The lens is very sharp even wide open, plus its great MF capability, I think everyone can get shots like this (wide open aperture):

Bro, nice... I can understand your infatuation with these flies?! They are so brilliantly colored!

Looking forward to macro trip with you in 2009! ... :D

Happy New Year to all!

I went to the Botanic Gardens today with a friend for a New Year's Eve shoot... not the best of weather, quite cloudy... but enjoyed it nonetheless.
Shot mostly using Kit Lens & FA50 1.4, think macro LBA is going to hit me soon... :P

Oh hey, I was there too in the morning! Bumped into opera58 and had a nice chat, but I didn't come across anyone else holding a Pentax camera. I guess we just didn't cross paths. :)

And not being able to get close enough to those in the pond even at 135mm

very sharp! there seems to be abundance of light at the bird. is it flash or natural light? what lens you used to shoot this nice bird?
