Now something more "decent" and recent... pardon me for my zero substance lameness earlier...

Shot with manual 70-210mm at tele-end... A quick snap before the couple turns around...

This is nice. The mood is there & BW works great in this shot. Has a class to it:thumbsup:

Thank you guys so much for the kind words...
Finally some comments for this over the last lame post i put up. :p
Guess i was lucky as i have only one shot and keeping finger crossed that i got it focused correctly...
Actually, the focus is lost in the picture... the sudject in focus were the couple (my friend and his new found gf) but instead the wall... oh well... old lens with failing eyesight... lol...
Actually have a sephia version of this but i prefer this B/W myself thus post it up...
Nice to gather such wonderful comments from you guys and from the couple as well...
Make my friday a better one! :D

Thanks.:) Also need to thanks my China LS2, it really makes the flash less harsh. But at 45degree I need hold the flash head:bsmilie:

Beautiful shots taken,

Nice bw shot slacker..and very brave too. I could never get myself to take such shots!
I like the slight frontal bokeh effect. Did you set to b/w mode or is this done during post processing?

Longko : I can't understand how you people seem to be able to find so many interesting objects to take and take them so well! I almost always turn up 1 type if insect and they usually come out blurred....sigh...nice effort too!

Thanks for the comments... :) Guess i am trying hard here to learn here...
Converted the actual picture to B/W and Sephia during PP but prefer this.

And same sentimental over longko's macro... thus i call him the "BugMan" :bsmilie:
Hope you dun mind ya Longko....

Very nice macros  I can see you had a great time shooting macros there (which I used to do over 1 and 2 years ago ...). Pity my DFA100 macro hasn't got chance to take any photo for over a year now :(

Thanks. Just have to look closer, we normally just wlak pass them most of the time. With macro like these (mostly 1:1), the slightest tremble of your hand can make the shots blur, also you need to MF. The trick is getting +-9cm away from them.

Nope, I don't mind. I'd been called many different names over the years.:bsmilie:

Thanks. I can't say I enjoy it, but I'm there for 2 reason. 1. test the China LS2 2. to get more shots for a coffee table book. You should take your DFA100 out for a walk, macros are easy as most subjects are close by. It's like a safari walk:bsmilie:

I love to shoot macros too, and used to do it alot. But ever since our son joined us last April, I almost never took any macro w/ a real macro lens yet ...

Will probably organize an outing sometime soon for us Pentaxians so we can have some macro/bird funs together ;)

Nice Macro done by longko.

Here are some of my yesterday's shots at Sembawang:
