Hey...you're right. the default pentax raw image processor is also silkpix-derived.
But what's the main reason that people use the original one instead of the pentax version?
I know it has alot more settings but its also more daunting, I suppose.

Tell me what you all think..thanks alot! Super happy with the K10D purchased!

Nice images! I like the choice of subject. I think its the rail bridge at hillview underpass?
Nice contrast of colours and very sharp images...

Thanks! i dont know the exact name of the place...all i know was clementi ave 4..haha well..i will be heading there again hopefully soon.

Personally i think the Silkypix one is more detailed so i stuck to it even thou i tried Photo Lab first.
I do think i like Photo Lab's color a bit better thou.
All things considered, both are good

My Few shots from the Pentax K10D with DA 16-45mm lens

Very nice shots. Where did you get these shots? Looks a very interesting place to shoot around.

Thanks for sharing.

Got my sigma 17-70 today. Went straight to PasirRis Park and shot this photo. What a coincident. No PP, only reduce size.

Hi Billitone,
Nice b/w image. From the curvature, I conclude its a fish eye lens or something very wide?
Was this taken in Singapore?
As for your oher image, is the 2 spots at the top right some markings in the wall? If not you could have dust on your sensor...need to blow them away.
cheers

Thanks, airconvent for your comments.

Both images were taken using kit lens only. I happened to be in KL.

B/W one was at 18mm, manual focus set at 1 meter as low light focusing is not that fast with the kit lens.

The other image...luckily the 2 spots belong to the wall :D

kit lens at 18mm and handheld??? the SR is really kicking in very well... good shot and good camera!

The shutter speeds used (1/100 and 1/125) was fast enough relative to the short focal lengths of 18mm and 55mm respectively and therefore they don't show whether the SR is kicking well or not.
