[pinholecam] Exploring Candid and Streets

Some new ones from this week.
The Rochor to Little India area is just so full of wealth of a Singapore that was and may one day be no more....

I like this shot alot. The parking coupon on the ground, the arrow in diff direction + feng fei fei fining the car.
Thanks. Glad you like it.
I would have like to say that I waited for the 'decisive moment', but unfortunately, its just a lucky shot :D

I don't reckon so. I took shots sometimes by instinct. It is when I process my photos then it sort of awnser why I took that shot. Luck is just part of the recipe.

Some shots done during the recent Pentaxian outing to Chinatown.
Just did lots of people shots the 'cowardly' way this time (with a 80-200mm) :D

My only shot with a 35mm. Stayed with the 80-200 after that as I wanted less DOF this time.

Found some time today to do some shooting around the Funan area.

I have not shot 35mm film for a long time.
A recent working trip gave me that opportunity as I did not want to bring an expensive camera due to unknown crime concerns.
The theory was that if someone robbed me of my camera, my MZ-5n and 50/2 cost no more than $200+ (I did buy this camera new and at a much higher price from CP ages ago though).

Loaded the camera with Kodak Gold 400 (edit : rechecked the box and its Ultra Max 400); A film I've never liked on prints before I shot digital.
..... still don't think I like Kodak Gold too much..... (maybe its already expired from the shop in AMK where I got it)
Converted quite a few shots to B/W instead.

anyway.... some photos of Ipoh old town

Nice colors for these. Didn't know kodak gold gave these colors.

Hey, Thanks. Glad you like the colors.
I did find that it gives a old look to the shots though.

Rechecked and its Kodak Ultra Max 400, not Gold.
But even then I think there is either something wrong with the film, my scanning or the mom&pop shop processing the neg.
2 rolls processed from the shop so far, and they look the same.
There are also scratches on this roll, so for sure I will go to another shop for processing.
I'm going fotohub or konota for the next roll just to see if it will be different.

He actually has some nice shots there, so if it doesn't work for you then its better to keep quiet, or better still provide your input on how you think the pictures can be improved.

Btw TS, I really like #8- Lover's Tiff. Has a sort of movie/scene look!

totally agree with u, one must be 'complete' in c&c , dun just say the problem or the feeling, must elaborate whether is it on the good or bad so ppl can learn from negatives and keep the positive.

Btw i like the Lover's Tiff too! I understand the candid restriction of ur location but if u can capture abit more of the female would be even better? just my tot.

yeah, who would have known such a cheapish film looks so good. shall have a hunt around for them. thanks for the reply.
