[pinholecam] Exploring Candid and Streets

Enjoyed your neighbourhood series! Good to see the familiar scenes captured. Brings back memories of the places where many of us grew up. Nice work :)

Thanks for dropping by and the encouragement.
I'm glad that the captures of a slice in time of strangers mean something. :)

I had a chance to pass by an old neighborhood on my way to work.
The photo opportunities was just vast.
Not to mention the really good and cheap food in these places ;p
I equally surprised and melancholic about the number of older folks here.

Random musing....
I wonder sometimes walking through such renovated old places.
Some of the 'hardware' obviously is renovated and new.
But the 'software' the people have not moved on that much.
Their 'small world' economy is the same. Their living conditions within the renovated eternal walls are still unchanged.
Worse still when the 'new economy' young folks like us start to take over these well positioned to CBD old neighborhoods.
Prices go up.
Can they keep up... ?

Perfect framing . Nice one

Hi, was surfing the forum to draw some inspiration and courage to start street photography and saw what you have accomplished! Now I am inspired and hopefully, have the courage. As a start, I may borrow your idea to shoot in places with tourists so carrying a camera doesnt seem out of the place. But will leave more fierce-looking lenses at home. Thanks!

Yes, its always easier to start off in crowded and tourist filled places.

Have fun :)

Some shots from a trip to Sabah.
The place is quite diverse. Malls in the town area, mingle with street markets and more backward small towns. Love it all.

Whats going on in the kitchen

Back to Orchard Rd again, to catch people going about in their Christmas best.

Christmas time is certainly the time for holding hands...
