Yup agreed hahaha... Well some m goes up to 5 digit....

I know only a couple to mention:

1. Noctilux 50/0.95 or sometimes even 50/1.0 (older version)
2. Summilux 35/1.4 Double Aspherical or simply known as AA Summilux
3. Very old vintage Leica lenses purely for collectors

Cheers

bro, -m and -r, which is better?

-m are smaller and lighter optically I heard they share the same as -r lenses specially those build almost the same year (older M lenses). If you scroll back to few pages you'll see some sample photos taken by Leica-R specially those of Bro TNTRUE :-) and I got some also from my R lenses.

If you dont mind the bulk of the R lenses they are relatively cheaper than M you can check out R lenses :-).

hehe I shoot mainly around 50 to 90 would like to have the 35 range to complete my selection and maybe one good wide or uwa for now siggy 19mm is what I have. I have some A-mount but after using NEX-7 I am now thinking if I still move to A99 or go all the way mirrorless. Fuji X series seems a good trade off as it's design similarly as the old school range finder and has enough button and scroll to replace a DSLR :-).... Let see how it goes but I might start to release my A-mount lenses and body....
Planning to go from NEX-7 to Fujifilm X? You will miss the peaking. ;)

Not only that . Tri-navi and the evf . The refresh rate on the xe-1 is lower and the lag is very evident at low lighted areas and indoors.

Gotta agree. It's quite good. Especially d AF. Performance can b enhanced even better if they could b on par wif d rx1.

As Requested by Bros. I have made some quick shoot out test of my 50 and 58 primes

The constant setting are
ISO-100
WB-Auto
Setting was Standard color (+1 constrast and +sharpness My JPEG setting)
all photos are OOC JPEG just resized and added water marks using LR (resize to 1024x683)
Distance from the subject was not changed (using tripod)
to avoid shakes used tripod and timer
Peaking was used to focus
lighting is normal flouresent lighting with some natural light coming from the door/window
Testing was done from Lens wide open up to f2.8 (I dont want to go further down the aperture this is just a simple testing)

The contenders
From Left to Right <<Jupiter-3 50mm f1.5, Zenitar M2s 50mm f2 (I call this the ugly duckling), Minolta AF 50 f1.4, Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar 58mm f2, Leica-R Summicron 50 f2, Helios 44M 58 f2 (1st Version) >>

There you have the photos speak for itself :-) what's my take on this? I like all of these lenses hehe but if you notice those that dont have circular aperture blades start to show when step down and at the right circumtances. Look at the Leica-R Summicron 50/f2.8 even this lens start to show it's non-rounded aperture blades.

Good job, albertri. Wonder how the SEL 50f1.8 will fare against these lenses?

Good job, albertri. Wonder how the SEL 50f1.8 will fare against these lenses?

I think should fare well specially it has 7 circular aperture blades so stepping down to f2.8 yo can still maintain the circular bokeh... Even the famous Leica-R cron 50/2 and Miniolta 50mm f1.4 suffers from not having circular aperture blades from f2.8, my FSU lenses like (Jupiter-3 and Jupiter-9) and CZJ Biotar beats these two well known lenses in that department :-)

I'll try to do the same for the 85 and 90 lenses I have :-) which includes the Sony a-mount cheap 85mm f2.8

As per request by bros here to do shoot out of my 85 and 90.

Similar with my 50's shoot out
ISO - 100
WB- Auto
Setting was Standard color (+1 constrast and +sharpness My in camera JPEG setting)
All photos are OOC JPEG just resized and added water marks using LR (resize to 1024x683)
Distance from the subject was not changed (using tripod) to avoid shakes used tripod and timer
Peaking was used to focus
Lighting is normal flouresent lighting with some natural light coming from the door/window
Aperture was set to the lens wide open until f4
