Nice photos. How much is the 15f4.5 better than the 16f2.8? Does it exhibit any color shift? I am still thinking of a better alternative to my 16f2.8.

Sides and corners are sharper for 15f4.5, will need to do more test to confirm that. Was doing some side by side, for same WB settings, saturation, color mode, 15/4.5 is also warmer, punchier. As for color shift, I am not sure what you mean, but I do see a little purple vignetting at top right corner with 15/4.5. I just only read that on another forum. Sorry for the tilted horizon!

Meanwhile, my 5N decided to throw tantrums, can turn on, but can't shoot, can't change setting, took out batt, restart, try to reset to default settings but screen just went blank, looks like I need to send in service centre liao...or maybe someone has a better idea. there isn't any soft/hard reset button...

Wow kit lens ? What's your settings ?
thanks, yes kit lens because i needed the oss for paranoma shot so i just carry a tripod with my cam mounted and hit the night spots around the area :)

vivid - contrast +1, saturation 0, sharpness +1

OK, Tripod ! With my ex-Canon DSLR, I'll bring the tripod, compose and snap...... I think I spend more time with DSLR than with the NEX, which I literally snap and snap... like a PnS ...
Somehow .. it's the perception it seems.

On reviewing my night shots, many are actually blur :( Most are hand held.

[EDIT] Found a decent one, but no where near SHARP

maybe leave the cam without battery for one night and try next day? other than that, cant think of anything you can do other than send in.. can also get the "clicking" fix done while at it :)

nice HDR there btw..

You got to learn to read my post properly ! 5N is not the first to incorporate touch-screen, I believe Panasonic was the first to incorporate it in their GH2 4/3 camera.

So which part didn't I read properly? U were saying u found a good use good use for de touch screen which is touch focus. And I just replied dat I was surprised u didn't know it could do dat (cos it yr mentioned somewhere here before). Then u tell me Panasonic was de first to implement touch screen. Wat has Panasonic being de first to have touch screen got to do with me being surprised u didn't know abt touch focus earlier? *scratch head*

Color shift happens only with RF or legacy UWA lens on mirrorless cameras like NEX where the edges not only vignettes but also cause color change. Your example shows some color shift on one side. It was pretty bad on the earlier NEX 3 and 5 but with current NEX 5N, most experienced RF guys are reporting less of it. Anyway, your photo is good enough for me, thanks.

Another flower with the Nikkor 28f2.8 a stop down at f4 shows how sharp this lens can be.

On request by Bro Otabbyo, here's some pictures of the Sony Alpha messenger bag that's bundled with the HN deal.

Not really OT as all pictures are taken by the NEX 5N :bsmilie:

(1) The Sony Messenger bag

(2) Posing with a couple of SLRs

(3) The bag could easily swallow up the Maxxum 7 and Canon SLRs, both with battery grips attached, Lots of space to spare.

Wow! I got the NEX small bag instead of this!

Here's my contribution on the 1600 ISO capabilities of this little wonder.

The picture straight OOC

and the 100% crop.

I always thought all stores here have the same bag as a goody?

I also gotten this bag it's nice and small I could fit my A33 with lens and beercan + Samyang 8mm and my small 50 f1.4 plus the rear sleeve I could place an ipad2 there also then the front pocket could place there spare batteries memory card and my pen lens cleaner. All these into that smallish bag, Oh what I did is borrow one divider from my other cam bag so it could have 3 dividers and 4 compartments =)

So where can I get the kit with the smaller bag? ;p
