Thanks keyuanBTW, any bros here test the EOS M with MF lens, such as Samyang..it doesn't work for my Samyang 14mm, even I select MF on the manu. I can't take any shot, the cam just hang there ...when I switch to Canon EF lens, it back to normal.
I think the EOS M can't recognize MF lens ( without AF chip) ??
If you like to use manual lens, you have to try magiclantern for EOS M, it has focus peaking function & really helpful for focusing on manual lens.
Took the plunge and installed Magic Lantern, was fast and easy. No noticeable improvement in AF, however the focus peaking feature is really nice! Battery tends to warm up a tad more than normal though, hope it doesn't drain too fast. Tested fine so far with both kit lenses. If you like to use manual lens, you have to try magiclantern for EOS M, it has focus peaking function for MF & really helpful for focusing on manual lens.
Think the magic lantern developer did mention that the af is too complicated to work on. So dun think they will work on Af any time soon.

Looking forward to a final release, but will continue to explore and use the rest of the features, especially on video recording. Kudos and thanks to the Magic Lantern developer for this, it makes the M a much better camera indeed.
breathtakingly beautiful shot, keyuan!the best camera is the one, you are carrying.
EOS M, is so compact that i carry it around nearly everyday. This shot is taken while walking to the carpark one evening last week.

Great to hear this. I'm thinking of getting the eos m for weight savings, currently using 5d2 with magic lantern, can I know if there's focus trap and magic zoom functions in magic lantern for eos m available?
wow! real pro shots! Finally, today use my EOS M with 5D3 for some TFCD shoot..happy with the result

By 5D3, Samyang 14MM MF Lens, Jinbei FLII 500 Strobe, if I have the 8mm on my EOS M body, should be able to produce the same result..
