Thanks keyuan :) will try it today.

No prob. It's good to help fellow eos m user.

I had mount lots of lens with my eos m, from Diana f to lens baby.

Some nice shots with this camera...I think its a neat camera, but I still like my Olympus M4/3 gear. Any way its always the person behind the camera that makes or breaks the picture...You all are very good photographers.;)

Thank you George, for liking my food photos. My shooting style is very basic in terms of food photography. And mainly rely on Sunlight. Give me studio lights, and i will not be able to shoot it. Am very happy that you like my food shots.

What you said in the previous post is very true, as the real pros photographer are really very good no matter which camera they are using. Just like Vincent Laforet in Cheap Camera (Lens) Challenge at DigitalRev.

But of course, a good camera does makes a differences too. e.g. the same shot taken between a compact camera and a dslr will have lots of difference.

Thanks keyuan :) BTW, any bros here test the EOS M with MF lens, such as Samyang..it doesn't work for my Samyang 14mm, even I select MF on the manu. I can't take any shot, the cam just hang there ...when I switch to Canon EF lens, it back to normal.
I think the EOS M can't recognize MF lens ( without AF chip) ??

If you like to use manual lens, you have to try magiclantern for EOS M, it has focus peaking function & really helpful for focusing on manual lens.

haven't had the chance to do outdoor shots yet with this, however managed to find something to shoot at home, so here's my first humble contribution.

Thanks ballan, will try that too :)

Anyway, today tested keyuan suggestion by using "Release shutter without lens" setting, it work :) time to think about samyang 8mm UWA...hmm...only thing is F3.5...

Took the plunge and installed Magic Lantern, was fast and easy. No noticeable improvement in AF, however the focus peaking feature is really nice! Battery tends to warm up a tad more than normal though, hope it doesn't drain too fast. Tested fine so far with both kit lenses.

Looking forward to a final release, but will continue to explore and use the rest of the features, especially on video recording. Kudos and thanks to the Magic Lantern developer for this, it makes the M a much better camera indeed.

Think the magic lantern developer did mention that the af is too complicated to work on. So dun think they will work on Af any time soon.

Yup, you are right, read that in their forums too. Irregardless, it doesn't take anything away from the M as being a much more fun camera to use. Am liking it more and more.

Great to hear this. I'm thinking of getting the eos m for weight savings, currently using 5d2 with magic lantern, can I know if there's focus trap and magic zoom functions in magic lantern for eos m available?

the best camera is the one, you are carrying.

EOS M, is so compact that i carry it around nearly everyday. This shot is taken while walking to the carpark one evening last week.

I don't see any "focus trap" feature, perhaps this is the Focus Peak one? If so, yes. Magic Zoom is also there.

Here's a screen shot of one of the many pages in the Magic Lantern menu on my M, showing the said features.

By 5D3, Samyang 14MM MF Lens, Jinbei FLII 500 Strobe, if I have the 8mm on my EOS M body, should be able to produce the same result..
