Photos taken by Pentax cameras for tech. discussion - Season VII

The macro shots here are an inspiration to dust off my stuff and give it a try.

Since its a regular walk with the kids (too late for serious macro as it was 10am), I just grabbed a Q7+06 zoom+Hoya +4 close up filter, and a A4 paper as diffuser.
Butterflies were too skittish with the heat and I only had like 10mins, so settled for dragonflies instead. :)

You covered this on multiple days or you walked quite a bit to cover the vantage points shown?

Nice stuff as usual.

Thanks JK, the 1st 2 shots from the same day. I was shooting sunset/blue hr on the Sheares Bridge, didn't expect the fireworks to "test shot" so early, so it's a bonus shot. :)
An even earlier shot of the fireworks:

Pentax M20/4, really a gem.
No one makes it so small.
Nice flare resistance too.

The small size is often overlooked as a lens criteria as nowadays, everyone is caught up in spec comparisons.
The f2.8 or f2 on a UWA, certainly looks macho on a lens review or on a lens forum comparing stuff.
But it will also need a matching macho-ness to lug around. :D
