I will go test test with the FA43/77. I adjusted until +6. Is that too much?

How much did you adjust to?

Hmm. It depends on your lenses and your body. My one so much different.

Think I need to - 10 or 20 for my fa24.
The rest varies between - 2 to - 10...
A few lenses no need adjustment.

Pentax Q7 again in Bali.
I basically use it as the long reach camera/lens.
Very handy as I did not need to spend time changing lenses, without the weight of a conventional 200mm lens.

I just realised that I never did AF adjustment for the Sigma. I did a +6 for the DA*16-50 and just did a +6 for the Sigma. Not good . . . My K7, K5, K30 did not even need AF adjustments . . .

Is this an inherent problem of the K3?

Poseur customer service is open for business. I heard one unhappy customer lol.

Did you use a GND or blend in the sky?

The shot with the DA15ltd is something we take for granted.
That flare resistance shooting right at the Sun, is not what every USA lens can do w/o issues.

Hi jk thx for your compliments. The 1st pics i only used a cpl as that day the sky quite blue. After went home i used standard adjustment to fine tune and thats all.

As for the pics for da15, yes its true that this lens we always take it for granted as alot people find it not wide enough. I myself also a victim of super wide angle lens. But one thing that others wide angle lens cant really replace is the flare resistance and its starburst....swee swee not many horses can run....lolxx....thx jk again and glad the pics work for you. Hi,

The iso of these shots, the highest was on iso1600,which is the white eye. the shot was not denoise and also can say need abit of cropping for the shots as well.. personally find that the noise was not so noticeable so did not do any denoise as i do not know how to denoise properly without the details of the bird being not affected.

Still very far from good,as jk pointed out,some noise in my shots,not good enough. Now you have the lens already,do find time to shoot more when you can,we can go out shoot tgt of course when there is chance,more than glad to share what i know but do not be disappointed.

I only know that most likely high ISO is needed but never knew how high.
Many ppl underestimate how hard it is on the settings.
Bird in shade, need to have good shutter speed to prevent shake and bird movement blur, long focal length, shooting at f4 or higher)
All adds to the ISO very fast.

I use nik define.
That will be in a separate layer.
Then mask out.
Not for birds of course.

Often I'd not bother with NR too if the photos are downsized and the noise is not glaringly obvious.

To add, if were to shoot birds in action under non-ideal lighting, we can go as high as iso 6400 :cry:
