Fantastic as usual.
I think it will be even better with K3

Thanks JK, not sure the image quality of K3 with 24Mp squeezed on the same sensor size but the 8.3 fps is great for action shots.

Glad that today is a holiday that allows me to have time to shoot this rare migrant which usually stay not more than 2 days.
Today afternoon is packed with abt 50 shooters for this star bird.

This guy is the hardest out of my 3 to photograph.
He wakes up and moves around even from day 4 (the 'window' is usually 2 weeks), usually its accompanied with a poop and loo making a mess of the fabric.
Luckily I don't do this for a living :sweat: :bsmilie:

Sorry, but thats all I am taking nowadays.

We often want/hear of Shallow DOF, Shallow DOF!
In fact, when I look at this shot and was processing it, I realized that I needed much more DOF!
The more correct DOF to me would have been for the whole baby to being enveloped with enough DOF.
What I have now is only the head being rightly sharp and the body not so, not enough to give it more 'pop' imo.


BTW, any happy Pentaxian Father/Mother can contact me to borrow the few baby props I have if they need it.

K30; FA77ltd; Single shoot thru umbrella on the right

2pm, blazing Sun, but had to help shoot some photos.
I managed to find a shaded spot with a background of leaves that would give something a bit different from the usual kiddo graduation shoots.
Used the FA77ltd at f3.2 to throw the bkgnd OOF (damn... I should have went all the way and used the FA*85)
