Again part of the plan to spend a bit on the children's portraits (and actually get some photos done), than always spending on gear.

K30; M85/2; Softbox to the top right.
Decided to take a trip to Spotlight, found a suitable brown fabric on sale and used it as a backdrop.

Wow, I am impressed by how the parents managed to get him sleeping for the shot!
Another lovely shot.
:sweat:and more
Have to be moving around setting things up, arranging the set and then the baby (and then he wakes or poos or pees.... then clean up... then re-start the who procedure)
Fan is off too,
Thanks Ken.

Somehow felt your FA77Ltd give better details compare to the M85...
Anyhow, still lovely shots for both.....

77ltd shot was f5, M85 shot was f2.8 and MF, but 77ltd is a sharp lens indeed.
Pentax flash can be triggered wirelessly via the on-board flash or an external one.
But currently, there is no control and grouping system like CLS.
I don't know about the new K3 and flashes.
However, imo the often untold story for CLS is that you will need Nikon flashes to benefit from CLS.
The SB's are not cheap, so it ends up, only those who are willing to spend on it will actually get it on multiple flashes.
To have a pretty flexible flash setup, you need 3 flash, so 3 SB's = not cheap at all.
Not to mention that studio strobes and strobists have been doing well w/o CLS.
In the end, as I often say, it still boils down to knowing the basics, the equipment we have and practice.
My few cents.
