I'd rather keep the lens.
How much can one put a price to rarity and history (as well as chance to even own one).

A friend of mine, his father was an old time camera enthusiast.
So he had lots of good Leica lenses.
He recently traded them for a 645D at a value of about $13K with 3-4lenses (older FA645 primes and zooms)
I had actually advised against it, because just look at it right now, 645D no longer $13K, but the leica lenses would have still been the same price.
But then, his father is old and who knows how many years left, so just let him be happy to do what he wants.
(Maybe one day, I will reach that time too..... )

Trying CCD sensor, the color seems abit different from CMOS sensor. IMHO, CCD sensors seem to produce more film like output
