Finally got some time to go through last week's shots. My first attempt at shooting F1 actions. Skipped the afternoon races & only went for night time actions. Any C&C welcome!

Taken with K-30 & Tamron 70-200.

Told you right? This bird will appear in bida.
This bird is very similar to Hodgson's Hawk-Cuckoo but it's confirmed to be Malaysian Hawk Cuckoo
Congrats for getting this bird. :)

Three vertical frame panorama of single shot for each frame and minimal processing (perspective correction and contrast adjustment)

Going down the path of single shots and away from digital or manual blending and limiting the processing.

haha very obvious right?! Some were shot above the fences at the grandstand facing pit exit/turn 1 during 2nd practice session. The rest at ground level at Turn 5.

Was quessing there.. look like another good grandstand which can shoot over fences. but what's ur focal length if you shoot from there?

200mm. Photo cropped a bit. Think the best focal length should be 300mm at that location and preferably sit at the last few rows to shoot over the fences. Such a pity that I didn't try slower shutter speed than 1/80 for the panning shots. Should have experiment with even slower shutter since location was good :(
