Really free??
No strings attached?

Like the o/p from both lenses (or course its really the person behind the lenses) :)

Yup it's free, the last event in june also free (same organizer), saw zoom3 and moronfans there last time. Today didn't meet any pentaxian there :(

Actually, the on shoe flash is still too harsh, didn't manage to finish modding this one before the shoot ;p

is it my monitor, there seems to be a reddish cast?

i notice that during the shoot as well. I was thinking was this due to the slightly higher Dynamic Range of the K30 sensor??? + the strong lighting we are using??? Out of the whole group of canikon user plus another K-r user. I am the only one with "pinkish" skin tone and I did compare closely with the K-r user.

Edited: come to think of it. not too sure if her hair colour (highlighted redidish) have anything to do to cast a pinkish/red gel effect.

Looks like I know where to go when I clear some leave in December ;)

How much focal length do I need in general?
Assuming that I will leopard crawl and all that to get near.

1500mm? or 1000mm? (using the Q)
Don't want to bring both lenses as that will be too heavy.

Yes, you jog pass by that place right? :bsmilie:
How much focal length? Of cos the longer the better. ;)
But sometimes 300mm may be enough. For this bird I'm quite close, so I think a 300mm can have a decent crop.
1500mm or 1000mm? My advise is minimise the use of TC if possible, try to approach nearer, take 1 or 2 shots, move foward few steps snap again and repeat...

Thanks man! :)

I used to jog there when I still stayed at my parent's place.
Even jogged in the cemetery at night when the headstones were still around.
I feel its more beautiful than scary to be frank.
Real pity the garmen is so blinded by 'advancement' and 'improvement' (for what??)
The cemetery was unique as it housed many prominent British persons since S'pore's founding.

To me, what is happening around us seems like a 'erasing of history' to bring in someone's own version of history or none (like a SGP version of a Cultural Revolution)

haiz...

Probably give the place a try this Friday if the weather holds.

Hong Kong, briefly.

Was in Kowloon when I realised my camera battery was almost flat (my hostel was in Chai Wan), so I had to shoot like I am on a one-roll film camera.. very, very selectively.

With the K-01 and three Limiteds.

Revolutionary spirit in the air. (DA21)

At Kowloon Park. (DA70)

I like the waterfront -- neon lights, mist and chilly winds make for a great combo. (FA43)

Taken in Bali. Got up early one day hoping to catch a good sunrise. But unfortunately, the sky stayed mostly overcast. Managed to catch this fisherman.
