A little small for macro. why? did not extend to max magnification or macro lens not used.Great subject, quite difficult to find fly blowing saliva.
took this today, viviatar macro and 21mm tubes, flash used, not cropped.

Hi marcus, the subject is abit too small already actually, this one was shot with macro lens, but my shot not well done, must wait for doyle's then as i went shooting with him, today never get good results, haish
Here is another view of the same fly
If its a macro lens, ie 1:1 magnification, you set your macro lens out to the maximum for 1:1. ie barel of the lens extend out or protrude out and then set your aperture to f11 to f16, then point to the fly by moving forward and backward to get it in focus. once you notice its sharp, trigger the shutter, usually 1/100 secs or 1/60 or 1/125 secs.

the fly shot is very artistic. a balance between subject and the empty space. go to show size is not everything. the spider is a rare subject. never seen before. *thumb up*
