Was this today?

I was at the Skypark. :)

Pentax K5 with Pentax Fisheye 10-17mm.. All shots handheld because my imitation Gorillapod broke. :bsmilie:

These are not very long exposures, for the first, longest exposure time was 1.5 seconds (for blending)..

For the second, I shot at F/3.5, bump up to ISO800, so resultant shutter speed was 1/4 seconds. Thank goodness there is shake reduction on the K5 that works well. :)

I wanted to take photos of Thaipusam for 3 yrs now, but always missed the chance.
Finally managed to take a 1/2 day off to get some shots.
Wonderful event. How I wish there are more such authentic celebrations around.
Thaipusam - DONE!

I opted for DA15; 43ltd and a too long FA*200 for the only reason that it has been sitting in the drycab for too long.
A 85mm or 135mm would have worked very nicely for portraits, but I was pleasantly surprised at what sticking to one lens and forcing myself to use it would come up with.

Most of us visiting Bangkok will depart from Suvarnabhumi Airport.
After the immigration, there is this long display which needs a wide angle lens to capture the entire frame.
However, we cannot avoid the distractions in the background as seen from this.

Taken with K5+A15mm

I then used Nik software to achieve this effect.

Which of the above has greater impact or none at all.

Here few more to share PP with Nik.

Few small little birds from the recent Thailand trip.
All shot with DA*300, didn't use the 500mm as was hoping to shoot the star bird there - Siamese Fire-backed Pheasant (very big bird).

Ha..ha... Got to watch that hole... :)

Another nice shot from you.
I gotta give this place a try one day.

Thanks JK .

Did something different from my usual style today @ changi boardway. Venture to the extrem right side of the beach and this lonely old wheel swing that's being desert there caught my attention . Just when the sun was setting the light shine onto this swing bring back a moment of glory for him. Did my best to compose it hope that it does bring back some old memories that we had when we are young.
