Pls comment on it so I can improve myself. thanks

Nice to see a new pentaxian into birding. Welcome!
Are you ranchy's fren?

You may want to try to wait for the bird to perch on clean perch and with good eye contact.
The White Crested Laughingthrush (bird #9) is a very friendly bird in Bukit Batok Park & they usually comes in a group of few so you have good chance to capture a good pose of this bird.
Here's mine taken 2 wks ago:

Same for the Lesser Racket Tailed Drongo (bird #11), wait for it to perch in the open to reveal the beautiful long tail and usually captured in portrait framing (turn your lens 90° via the tripod collar). This bird at Bukit Batok Park usually will perch around the same few surrounding trees.

Yup yup, Kengoh, my friend. :)

His catch is better than mine. I think i just deleted all i took... Too poor liao. .:embrass:

Saw those you took in which you gave me the links..
Lots more to learn i guess, we was roving around, finding where would they be.. except for the White Crested Laughingthrush (bird #9)
which we has more time to take with.. hee..

Hi Kengoh I am Ranchy's friend. Thanks for the comments. I will work on it. Here is another photo I want to share

Just keep shooting, you'll improve. ;)

Shot these with the good old K20D. Apart from a sensor fault that came up after 2 years of use, this camera has been a rock-solid workhorse of a camera. In poor light the K-5 blows it away, but in good light the K20D files are such a joy to look at. Glad I kept mine!

Paired with the Sigma 70-200 HSM II, which is sharp, unlike the bad rep that it seems to have.

Visited another abandoned estate and played around with PP for extra grime.

A bit conflicted on which treatment to use. Yellow/Green hue or B&W?

There's another abandoned estate at Dover Road.
The carparks are barricaded but can use the open space for potraits.

Thanks for the info. This was where I went actually. Lovely place. :)

Last Sunday morning I drove into the estate and in one of closed car-parks, saw a guy shooting potrait with backdrop.
