I'm at a chalet in Changi right now and the beach is just a one-minute walk through a gate, but I can't even get myself up and out early enough. Can only shoot sunsets since I'm not a morning person at all ;)

I have not much choice as sunrise is the only time I will not disturb my family timing . ha

Found this cool cat nearby, it didn't feel annoyed by the loud mirror flap from my Super Program :)

Heh! Was this the same Super Program after we traded?

I gotta say you are one outstanding guy for taking the trouble to swop the Super Program with me just cos the half shutter display wasn't working. Thanks, once again!

You're welcome. It's my other Super Program that has same display problem :bsmilie:

Recent night scenes with my K-5 and the Sigma 10-20mm..

(To get more lights, you need to take many short exposures and layer... This one has 3 layers - 1 for the yellow lights going downwards, 1 for the blue lights going upwards and the lotus lights... and 1 for the water...)

if not for your explanation I wouldn't have guessed that so much work went into this shot! you mean you did a layer mask for each layer/exposure??

I don't use layer mask method... I just layer the images on top and erase with soft brush until it looks like what I want it to look like, and it looks fine large. :bsmilie: It's really not that much work, I think I took about 10 minutes.. :)

I always enjoy to look at you shots.
The attention to detail and processing.
Another great shot!

Didn't have the permission to go out shoot over the weekend - Not even the Pentax outing :(

The closest I can do is just a sun shoot at my service balcony

Nice, but watch the color cast. ;)

Family shots can be repetitive shooting them over the years, but bring more warmth to the heart viewing them through the years as well.

Simon, never mind the comments about the remote, I think you've shot a very nice and spontaneous group family portrait with your lovely wife and cute son.
The still life is pretty good too, but you need to be mindful of the edges of the frame.

Given my proclivity for shooting rocky seascapes, I should have visited this location long ago. Always thought of this place as a sunset location, but given the overcast/hazy conditions recently I figured the sun won't be making an appearance anyways & hence decided to have a shot (just a figure of speech of course ;p) at this location. The sky was predictably boring but hopefully the foreground elements are interesting enough to make it work. Any C&C as always is welcome. Cheers!
