Shot at Admiralty Park this morning with K-7 & Sigma 180mm Macro.
Flash with diffuser. Shadows are visible for #1 & #2 and I think light too harsh.

Ben, I like 1 and 3 best.
Very sharp.No. 2 if you have focus on the back, would be better, imho.

Yours has no shadow with dual flash lights.
I have similar shot of the same.
Shot with A100/f2.8 macro & ring flash.

Was at a picnic yesterday at ECP, took a few handheld shots & hope to share them with you guys.
Pentax K7, ISO100, f22, 0.5sec without any filter. Hope to get an ND filter soon so that I do not have to stop down my aperture to f22 and can have a slower shutter speed.
Hope you guys like them nevertheless!

0.5s handheld? Nice!
And did you have to push the saturation on the blue/cyan and red/yellow channels to get these colours? I don't rememeber my ECP pictures turning out with such cheerful pastel colours.

Thanks! Yes, I pushed the saturation on the blue/cyan and up a bit of the vibrance.

Rarely have chance to shoot birds at low iso as due to focal length the shutter speed has to be fast for handheld.
Would like to share some pics of Bee-Eater taken with K5 + DA*300 at iso 80 using "bright" setting, no EV compensation.
No sharpening/smoothing, only some adjustment on the midtone/brightness.
Overall quite impressed with the details retained after the brightening.

On one hand you have Fengwei poisoning people with this FA 77mm portraits, and on the other you have kengoh poisoning people with his DA*300mm...

Low iso looks even better than your usual high iso ones! The detail in the feathers is just :thumbsup:

This is a good start
IMHO, I'd take more control of the ISO (ie. lower) for less noise and better detail and DR.

:think: the reflection is not efficient enough... too much light absorbed while it bounces around. thats why need full power...
maybe u can consider using fibre optic cables instead?
similar to this concept, http://hackedgadgets.com/2009/02/06/diy-fiber-optic-camera-flash-ring/
but bunch the cables together to split the output of your YN in 2 directions instead.
