marcus

powerful shot. love this

Each one is evoking. Thanks for sharing

Cool set! Real documentary style

Thank you guys.

I wish so very much I could give prints to all the local folks I shot; I know they'd have loved one. Didn't see any other camera around, analogue or digital.

The only photo studio I saw in Maliana, by the way, was an abandoned one, hallowed out and crumbling. (Some parts of the town had similar buildings which are burnt out and abandoned, a legacy of the 1999 violence by Indonesian-backed militia after Timor split away.) The signboard was very intact though.

i find the bokeh of the 100mm WR very nice as well.

the bigger challenge is the lighting.

sigh... ring flash... buy or don't buy...

100Wr is nice. But I already have the Samsung. So kinda like Carbon Copy.haha.

Saw B&S 50mm Macros lens like hand itchy. But too bad... :(.

i find 50mm too short for insects... unless u're just buying to play play, no point lah...

and its not a CC. having used both before, i find the WR version has obviously better build quality, is optically superior and the 9-blade rounded aperture gives better bokeh.

I tried to pick up tapi lain orang sudah booked.:D Minimum focus distance is mere inches away. Not feasible for bugs but good for product shots;)

20jan 11 k5 vivitar 047-1 by luctomar, on Flickr

Guess I post too many macros.:D

This one, I like the greenish bokeh, taken with vivitar, without flashlights, hight iso 1600 cos evening sun, 1/25 shutter speed to capture the ambient light. Monopod assisted and uncropped.:)

Finally got another chance to take a shot of the Moon.
When the phase is full, the craters and details are not so obvious, when they are, I'm either away, the Moon is not visible due to clouds/haze/etc or wrong position wrt my place.

Taken with the KX at ISO 800, as I don't have a tripod to hold down the beast I am using and have to hand hold.

It has this darn cool suspended-in-the-air feel.. :D

Thanks.

Don't have a choice.
This lens is so heavy that if I mount it on my Slik Sprint Pro, the whole setup will shake when the shutter trips

Just to share a shot of this raptor while looking to shoot some cuckoo birds.
The id of this bird is Oriental Honey Buzzard. :)

Wow, this is incredible!

Taken at Mount Alishan in Taiwan in Dec last year, in an attempt to capture the sunrise, Unfortunately the sun was not very cooperative that day. Large crowd and could not get a good spot. Had to take the shots handheld in between a few tall teenagers (was wondering what they feed this kids nowadays, everyone so tall).

Hardly shoot landscape so very limited experience, C&C appreciated on how to improve it.
