Photos taken by Pentax cameras for tech. discussion - Season I

Been really long since I posted any new pictures... Just love the newer sensors from Pentax, whether it's the k-x or k-r, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Whether it's high ISO (Think this one's ISO 2500, 1/125, f2.8 from 100 WR)

Or landscape, (ISO 100, 20s, f10), and it's not even a raw file (didn't do that on purpose, but just forget to change the settings on the camera)!

Or the excellent multiple exposure mode, which is so so useful when you want to get rid of movement ...

This one already have a 4 stop ND, but it's quite bright and I did a 9 exposure of 0.4s at f14.

This place is within walking distance from my place, haven't got time to walk around this area yet.:( The sunrise at this place is very nice this morning. Too bad i don't have a camera with me to take some shots. I don't even know the Popeye there is open already or not.:bsmilie:

wah.. thats a really good deal!
can post a pic of ur tubes?

btw, wats the difference btw with and without aperture lever?
coz i'll be using with old manual lenses, full manual

My few cents on a good and cheap TC.
M50/2 ($40-$70) + reverse ring ($15) + lens (mounted normally)

Reversed M50/2 + M85/2; f8 or f11

The aperture on the normal mounted lens keeps open for easier focusing and on-camera 'A' mode control.

The extension tubes with aperture control does the job pretty well also. Try not to get the ones that have no aperture control for the reasons already mentioned by others.

Bring a flash.

DA15, Metz48 with large foam bounce card at 1/16 power on right of camera.

Did a recent trip to Sabah and my friend took me to the beach where the sun was setting over the South China Sea. The subjects would be hard to expose for if I wanted to expose for the bkgnd (ie. under exposed subjects) and the flash came in handy.

Exposed for the bkgnd and set the W/B to Cloudy to make the flash appear warm (also adds orange to the sunset). Flash used to expose the subjects.

Taken at Japanese Gardens this morning.

Taken with K-5 + DA*50-135.

Pretty heavily cropped. I was able to get quite close before it flew away, but still, the limits of only having a 135mm lens on hand.

Yes, we saw it... unfortunately, by the time we reach, it's already gone. :(

Next time go there, sure call you. ;-)

In the future, this place can be quite happening!

Reaching...

The built-in flash + 2 Diffuser is managed to minimize the shadow.

I saw the sunrise from my study room. Not the best view but at least can catch some view of it.:)

Was at this place Marina Barrage to take pics of the barn owl, so went slightly early to take sunrise but did not see the "eye yolk" :(

Went to Muay Thai National Championships at SMU T junction this afternoon. It was quite dark there, need to boost my K-x's ISO to 3200 to get at least 1/100s. I stopped down my K 135mm f2.5 to f5 to get enough dof.

Just superb images Bernard.
The quality of images from Pentax shooters on the whole have gone up tremendously.

Experimenting with diptych and triptych. Still figuring out aspect ratios and crops...

Feels like there's too much negative space for the sake of fitting 16:9 format...

Bro, it didnt work for me. the 2nd pic of people didnt let me get much detail of their faces. I think these kind of thing only work for Urban Abstract.
