took this in kota tinggi, same local robberfly which can be found here. K5 is great being high iso 1600 is usable and that allows a higher shutter speed to be used with f16, which is otherwise not possible with my K10 d or K20 d which I believe. Colors output is great as well.

Hmm, Actually what I believe in Macro is better to have it in lower ISO. but ur pic just destroy that foundation of mine :bsmilie:

Marcus,

I always wanted to try gg beyond ISO200 but afraid of detail loss. But I think its safe yeah?

Yah, its an artist shot. haha. But dunno why u managed to get this bugger to stay still. While everytime I take a shot, the insect quickly jump.

Only managed to get him, I think he kena blinded reason why he never jump. haha. But still Out Of Focus!

Try a higher iso and if you dun try, you will never know;) Six legged fly is sensitive to flashlights and the pre-ttl flash actually gives the fly a shock.. Still take 10 shots and 1 will come out OK.
Only female mosquito sucks blood. A little blood donation to AP is fine:sweatsm:

The Cat picture really a . Looks like studio shot.

I dont know why this thread becomes more of a Pentax Macro Tech Discussion, but I like it. haha.

So wanna share this Led Light I found while sending my Film for processing at Miaow Liaan Bukit Batok Central Blk 154 i think. beside the CHEERS shop, I saw a small trading shop selling led light/maglight etc. Then saw this big guy and the uncle tested it. Looks like it has a potential to be my Night Macro Set-up. So I bought it at $10. (Just so if u guys interested, the uncle only has a few left).

For night Macro, I always uses my Ring Light which I bought for 60+ bucks which can be mounted at the front. But time brings along evolution, the ring light has become a wall for me to keep testing newer techniques. But it still a great Night Macro partner if u are alright with the wires and the front mounting.

Here is the led light pic.

The light has 24+3 LED. The middle consist of 24 while at the front there is 3 LED light. one button to change between these two light functions. But I'm not impressed by the 3 LED light which is Ok when tested but my Camera still hunts(AF). So the 24 LED is the way for me. More cofusing is how to mount it on my lens to make its a middle light source for it. I look around my messy room and round-up a Scissor,Double-Sided Tape & velcro Male/Female which I was abt to use it for my DIY soft box(for external flash) for macro which is in 70% completion. Lets sacrfice the Velcro la for this. Can get somemore next time.

Looking at the Picture, u can judge how I did it. (Taping the velcro piece by piece at 4 sides of the light). so here is my Set-up

and I think, might as well try it now in the dark to see how it goes.
