Thanks for the clarification.
I had thought the reversed lens is left wide open while the normally mounted lens will control aperture.

you can have it wide open on reserved lens if you can manage it... but i normally stop down cos the dof is just too crazy wide open on reversed lens...

Yes Gengh, two flashes eliminates the harsh shadows. Trying different flash power esp 1/2 or 1/4 or 1/8 with a lower shutter speed and the pictures turned out Ok, Still need to diffuse the lights with a cheapo aluminium can as diffusers.:bsmilie: shutter speed 1/25 secs

I used the Ring Flash to reduce the shadow.

It has been a long time since I used my screw mount lenses. Just too many options to choose from. :p So I decided to use take out my Takumar 55/1.8 for an exercise.

IMHO, these old lenses are such a joy to use. Delivering just as well as any more modern lens would.

May i know what camera you using and can K-x use the Takumar screw mount lenses without the help of a adptor? and btw nice shot.

K-x & K-7 needs an M42 - Pentax k-mount adapter to be able to use M42 screwmount lenses.

I know Alex Photo in peninsular (beside CP) sells them for about $40++ .
The ones he sells can allow the lens to focus to infinity...

Ebay also sell and as cheap as us$10 , but you have to check if it can allow focus to infinity meaning it dosen't have the metal flange , or most likely the seller will post "allow focus to infity"...

Yes the old takumars need an M42 adapter ring for KX. Try getting the original one that cost about less than 50 dollars.

Too blue. But oklah, the cloud looks like a scene from Independence Day.

Was in HCMC in early June.
Shot with K-7 + DA*50-135mm at various public parks. Pics were cropped.
How many Pentaxians owned the DA*50-135mm?
