Can you notice the bird?

hua.. nice Infra Red, Ben.

Which Lens you're using and wat is the focal length, anyway i'm also trying hard to learn to to shoot bird photo. Any tip from the shifu here?

I'm not shifu, I play play only... There're a few real Pentaxian birding shifu here, maybe you can figure out who....

Not willing to invest in a proper birding lens, this was shot with the DA55-300 at 300mm @f7.1, and further cropped to 2/3 or its original size. So you can get pretty much the same thing with your Tamron. Try that out and see what you think of it. There're better lenses out there for birding than all these xx-300mm, but they all cost much more.... The rate of keepers when birding is generally fairly low (at least for me), so don't get discouraged.

Alphabets left out to dry after a wash.

A50/2 at f2.
I find myself going for this lens more often than the two 50/1.7 I have. I just seem to get more consistency out of f2 (either M or A).

After getting comment/advice at IR sub-forum that I should include the reflection of the trees. This morning was the perfect day.:)

I've moved: www.darrenleow.com!

Just to make this post legit in this thread, what's the slowest shutter speed you've successfully (no need to be sharp result) used? Mine is 1/6s..

You mean hand held & at what ISO?
To take unsharp image at slow shutter is easy, right?
I tried hand held at 1 sec with ASA400 with film when I was just 19. I chased after the ching-gay procession to East Coast Road armed with K1000 + M50mm/f2.0.

This one looks really cool. But I think it'd look even better if you crop away the right black portion, probably the extreme top left tree as well
