1) View from my hotel room's window

Great shot, stevepow!
I was wondering how come every visitor to Sapa can get this shot and where they shot this view from.
And how come even though I was very hard working walking up and down,
searching high and low in Sapa, I never managed to get this shot.
Now I know, it was from your room! You lucky man!
I was stuck at the ground floor room next to the reception counter for that few nights!

Yup, from my room at level 2 and stood on the bed to get this shot to avoid the roof line in the foreground

Finally a glimpse of Sapa

LowLigts, if Hanoi and Halong Bay were anything to go by, in Sapa our group's cameras went totally wild.
Every one was shooting like mad while in Sapa.
It was a photographer's dream come true.
I am sure here every one would post like siao liao!

Glad that you like it..Doc

Don't say like that leh, Encik!

T R A V E L O G U E ~ Day 5 on our way to Sapa

It's good to have arrived at Sapa finally and I am glad Stevepow started off the Sapa photos.
Here, on our Minibus journey up to Sapa, Adrian saw from te corner of his eyes,
a troupe of 2 children sitting on a buffalo.
He quickly ordered the driver to stop and for all of us to jump down and to wait and to soot this scene.

Here is a comic style rendition of it... Just for laughs only lah... OK?
But this scene is an actual scene that really happened to us.
So it would be most memorable.

EstherQX, were you the lady in our picture at the Hanoi Railway Station standing besides Stevepow holding the Sapa flag?
And were you the one whom stevepow, SereneXMM and I met at Lao Chai Village, you who have given up wearing your Crocs and have changed to a pair of flip flops?
Was that you?

Don't have leh...
I usually don't take pictures of pretty young ladies.
I focus mostly on slightly not so young subjects (hahaha....).
Anyway the "笑..." shot besides stevepow at the train station was the closest I think I got...

We've finally arrived at Sapa after a one hour bus ride from Lao Cai (Pronounced as Lao Kai) Town.
This is our hotel. It began to rain later only when we arrived.

Wah, stevepow. Your Sapa shots are really power!
No wonder you have been chasing me and acpical like siao like that to leave Hanoi and to quickly reach Sapa...
You must have been preparing all your PP-ed landscape to fire off liao lah!
Good, good!

Wah lau, so much for your kao-beh kao-boo-ing at Sapa... saying weather no good...
Chay... all your shots so clear!

Stevepow complaining about weather...

Anyway, it was quite an experience in Sapa.
The Black Hmong ladies would lug along their handicrafts and follow us all the way to the bottom of the valley.
And then we would find ourselves a little swarmed with nice wrinkled women asking us to 'Buy from me...'.

We reached Sapa in the morning. We left our luggage and had our breakfast.
After that, we set off for our first trek. Before our trek, it started to rain cats and dogs.

As we are walking to Lao Chai Village, we saw some ducks bathing themselves in the rain.
