heh well I had alot of fun with audio track laying and all that since I have a interest with music in my life and career. And as my partner was also the copyright owner of numerous sound tracks which is license out to Ad Agency, Audo Visual production companies..etc so I have a hell of a lot of soundtrack to play with plus since he also has a mobile disco business too so more tons of albums to choose from too. I have to say being a producer from concept to finish is fun. Sometime I wish I stay on with that but then again I was involve in so many creative interest and field I was spreading out too thin and have to choose. Sometime I feel I should have stick to being a creative more then a suit.

The only one thing I normally would not do is copywriting heh.. Dyslexia and "word smithing" does not go too well heheh... I do know a good copy but I leave it to the professional. Some how I usually think copywriters makes or at least have a better path toward becoming a CD. You never took that path?

Well, Unker O was right in wanting to 'headhunt' you with all your experience!

Waaah ... track laying with a U-matic and 'mobile disco' (and 'tea dances comes to mind) ... talk about harking back to the PAST!

No. I was head-hunted twice, but decided I didn't want to be that close to or that much a part of the politics. :sweatsm: Fighting the suits and servicing directors was bad enough as it were. LOLZ!

heheh he jabbing my chain only dont get carried away lah.

In those days....everything was so clunky don't you think where production was concern? These day you have like a PC or two and you load up Adobe Premier and you do all your editing in the PC, get all the transitional wipe effect, using time coding to drop in audio and equalise, cut and splice your video or sound bites, click to surf and search for soundtrack to use, adding graphics in 2D or 3D into various portion of the production, get a team involve using networking within the agency interior or a production suite at a post production studio or even across the globe and then once you get the structure tight, client approve the mockup ......you press PROCEED and it just gets going putting the whole video together while you go home and be with your family or go geylang do the nasty, get a massage, order up a hor fun and then you come back later and it is all done, you cast to DVD or steam it out to a client. Tech is great now.... and it also take away jobs too. Sigh.

I recalled the very first D1 editing recorder..one unit can cost you like one Mercedes Benz C180. and you need like 2-3 unit and the editing console man..

You write jingle?

And you had better have damned good relations with the Studio Sup, Traffic Lady (always seems to be a lady in the past dunno about now, coming to think about it) as well as Prodn Sups on the outside! :bsmilie: If not ...

Nope. No jingles. Only the regular broadcast stuff.
