Hey guys/gals...

If one of your Photomarathon themes require wedding shots, do contact me and I'll bring you to my sister's wedding. It's the only way I can contribute. :P

then the photographers will steal the lime light

... It's fast, not messy, but the number of "Poop corns" those that did not pop is a bit high,...
Put your unpopped corn in the fridge overnight and then use it chilled. This will reduce the amount of Pooped Corn. Better yet, I think use the freezer.

Wow.... gotta learn how to interpret.
The scale is on the right. Basically the redder/purpler it is, the heavier the rain.

Btw, phillip, how u find ur 350D?
Really enjoying it. Still learning though. But a bit too small for my hands. I'll get the grip when I return from holiday. Prefer to shoot in RAW for more control over the shots on my end. :) Currently using the lower end lenses (kit lens/EF28-90mm III/EF75-300mm II) so pics needs a bit of PS post processing. But all in all, good enough for what I use it for.

Mine's boil water first, add sugar, stir until melted and then butter. Will definitely try your way, but am guessing 1/2 brick of butter is less and 1/2 of butter.

Welcome, ykia. What do you mean compensate the butter? I'd normally melt butter first, when it is all melted and liquidty, then add sugar. Why don't you try that way first with your recipe?

Need to make sure it meets the Spring Singapore safety standards.... Hmmmm, where's PoohBear?

Hmmm.... I wonder why? Could be the condensation that forms after taking out of the fridge, increasing the moisture content. Read that popcorn needs at least 14% moisture to pop.

Anyway, I was comparing the popping methods, not so much the kernel moisture content. I usually get more popped out of a pot of hot oil then the hot air popper. The hot air popper tends to fling the unpopped kernels out of the machine together with the popped ones.

I usually do a double pop with the poopcorns by "sifting" them out and repopping them. Usually can reduce the number of poopcorns by half this way.

Finally, the "brand" of popcorn also has a relationship with how many goes unpopped. Jollytime and Orville R brands have better popped ratio then the supermarket brands that hang together with the other dried foodstuff.

Yes, you'll do fine tomorrow! Remember, the interviewers usually look of polite and mature (in thoughtfullness) individuals on top of your technical capabilities.

All the best!
