some of the 2 fire type quite near to each other so when you have a wok on one you can't use the other with a mid size pot. Usually a 3 fire one should be OK. Don't get those with a heating plate, no use.
i agree with the hot plate thing

and the "too near each other" is a good point.
best to let the wifey decide. after all it is her kitchen

heh..problem is she cant decide. cause there are 3 types of fire lvl (from the one we saw).

300+ , 400+ and 600+ . the max fire of these 3 are different.

Err..... those are call town gas la boss.

Yes, town gas cost a little more but don't have to worry about running out of gas. Anyway don't know what is the diff. but town gas don't have to cater a space for the LPG tank.

OK, this is what I know. For the big fire, it should be on it own at the side while the mid and small one are both on the other side. Don't get those with the small fire in the ctr. ( can't use the middle fire once the wok is in use ) If yours is a new kitchen, check with the contractor what is the max size to get. If the hole is already there ie: old hob need to change or contractor already cut the hold, measure the size of the hole ( for existing hob, measure from the bottom to get the size ). Stainless steel is a little more costly but easier to maintain, can consider. Normally those around $400+- should be OK.

Happy hunting !!

choosing hob like buying camera man... so many brands.. then which brand can mount with existing wok. What's the performance of the fire etc.. :bsmilie:
