boh. but got something to ask.

getting those kitchen stuff for my new place. U know the hob, some got smaller fire, some got bigger fire. was wondering how often will 1 get to use big fire to cook. (wife seldom cook :bsmilie: and i know nutz abt cooking)

big fire is for cooking with chinese wok
ang mo frying pan, do not need the big fire

agreed.

careful if you're buying the hob. Some Euro brand is made for "ang mo" cooking meaning when you put a chiness wok on it, it won't sit properly. You'll also need to see how much space you have for the hob. With regards to the fire, as a general rule of thumb, asian style of cooking needs bigger fire.

Hope it helps :)

if you do not really cook much, then a 2 fire hob would be enough
one with big fire/wok and one for frying pan/pot

not really, usually euro ones is more ex. try going down to Courts ( the bigger outlets ) and take a look, they have a wide range there :)

some of the 2 fire type quite near to each other so when you have a wok on one you can't use the other with a mid size pot. Usually a 3 fire one should be OK. Don't get those with a heating plate, no use.

i agree with the hot plate thing

and the too near each other is a good point.
