As you have already mentioned upteen times, he's very, very, very persistent, and all the methods which we have brought up here don't really work IYO. If that's the case, good luck and hope you can come up with a good method to shake him away.

Actually I found such behaviour a little on the extreme side, kinda close to being pervertic. Waiting every morning in the car park just to take the lift together? Isn't that stalking? Better rid this problem earlier before it gets outta hand. Like most have mentioned, reporting to the HR department makes absolute sense, especially if its affecting you at work. Good luck!

I'm sure just about every conceivable option has been suggested by now, so I'll venture to say that basically, if he is a typical or normal guy, i.e., he doesn't have any psychological imbalances that makes him want to be dominated or mothered, one of the things almost no self-respecting human can ever endure is humiliation, especially in front of those he or she deems as 'important' or significant in their lives.
Devious mode turn off. Been watching too many movies liao
Tactics u have to create to suit the particular situation to elicit the subtlest, but deepest cuts - master the slow bleed. Afterall, you just want him off your back, and not wanting to murder you as a result.
All the best, whatever route you choose. Sometimes, simply and totally ignoring that person continually works as eloquently as the most intricately crafted plan. There's nothing louder than absolute silence.

OK, if this is seriously happening... a slight possibility is that he is, as they say, a few cans short of a sixpack, so you don't want him to go all 'psycho' on you (doubt so, but you never know with people these days...) so best to get help, from HR for example. To reduce the changes of any negative reaction to you bringing his behaviour up at the workplace is to get HR involved and maybe they can get him some counselling.

well, to add on to what someone has mentioned earlier....
just keep the contact with him as minimal and professional as possible. serious, business-like and no smiling. Keep all conversations short and strictly work-related. Show no emotion to him at all. Politely and firmly reject all offers of dinner, dates or presents. do not answer any personal emails, cards, messages, calls etc from him. If he talks mush, excuse yourself and leave immediately. Keep all personal effects locked away, especially anything that has the scent of your perfume.
