That's fast fengwei. Nice water droplets shots.:D

Yeah, I shot whose in JPG, didn't do much PPing, easier I guess :) Thanks btw.

Great images of water droplets, fengwei.

otc

Thanks Marcus. Pity you missed the party ;)

Fengwei, looks like an Apo-Lanthar shot.

Thanks Denis. Yes, that's the ONE

Really a good time of learning from all the pros for a newbie like me so glad that I shake off the sleeping bug...hahaha Now I trying to dry my zoom lens...hahaha

You guys took such great macro shots...Need to learn more!

Some of my amateur attempt with my Sigma 17-70mm.

Pretty nice for a zoom lens actually, especially consider they were taken in the rain :)

I'm sure you'd have even more fun if you had a dedicated macro lens. Not a must, but once you have one, you'd see what I mean ;)

Amazing shots by everyone!

Here are a few of min...
All shot with 100mm f2.8 F Macro

Wow! Those are very impressive. The colors are really punchy under such bad light condition. Great shots!

i was there this morning and was awed by the array of dedicated macro lens in display. to soothe my bruised ego, i went shopping after the gathering.... hehehe. just came back from alan photo with a tamron 90mm macro lens. $565 with a filter thrown in and payment in credit card. :)

Congrats again on the new lens. Now you need to bring it out more often and take some closeups, I'm sure you'd love it :)

Personally I think Pentax is still rather weak when it come to AF in low light situation.

Yeah, well, some guys still managed to capture some impressive photos even in the rain ;) AF isn't everything lah. Besides, most time we'd shoot in good light. If the light is bad, you can either set up the light like our guru longko does, or better stay w/ the family and have some other fun :bsmilie:

Late late post...just got time to settle down on my computer... got another shoot after the gathering... apparently the model i was shooting was some famous model in taiwan... anyways here my shaky hands shots...remind me to bring a tripod/monopod next time...my hands are still trembling from todays shoot...

Nice shots :)

So your flash and cam still worked after being used in the rain for over an hour :D Probably Pentax need to make a weather sealed flash too

:bsmilie: Excellent point!

Such nice pictures... pity I had to sit out this one.

So where and when is the next shoot gonna be?
If I may make a suggestion as to the date, why not it a regular date we can pencil in, like the first/last Saturday of the month?
Good to have one in July. Can be same location.

Don't know if this is a good suggestion but how about the Istana Open House?
Extract from website:

The next Istana Open Houses have been scheduled for:

* Sunday, 3 August 2008 (to celebrate National Day)
* Wednesday, 1 October 2008 (to celebrate Hari Raya Puasa)
* Tuesday, 28 Oct 2008 (tentative) (to celebrate Deepavali)

Admission to the Istana grounds is free for Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents. Others, including foreign visitors, are required to pay an entrance fee of $1 per person. Entrance to the grounds is via the main gate at Orchard Road. Opening hours are usually from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm.

Hmm, that's bad :( Guess we were too into our talks, then forgot about our manors :embrass:

Following on Dennis' suggestions on next outing, I just went Clarke Quay yesterday evening, and there are some pretty interesting structures/decos there... :)
