dude were you the malay guy sitting while talking to the lady around 3-4pm on sat?
Well I called them up on Wednesday and enquired about the pricing. Since it was attractive, I booked a set as it was not in stock. The next day, I recieved an sms saying that the stocks have arrived. Since I was working and would be quite tired after work, I told them I would come on Saturday to purchase it after work.
When I reached there on Saturday, I met Lynn(who smsed me) but was told that them 'sold' the last set away already. What happened was that they only brought in two sets, which was just enough for me and the other person. The other person came first, and bought the first set, only returning on friday for an exchange because his set had alot of dust behind the LCD. They showed me that dusty set and asked if I was okie with it, and they offered to sell to me at an even lower price. I didn't want la ofcourse. :bsmilie:
I told them that I took leave(no pay) just to purchase the camera, was a little sick and lived quite far, so I asked for a compansation. They aggred. I asked them, when would the next stock be coming in, and quantity. They answered that it would come on Tuesday, about two sets and promised to keep a set for me.
Why I said long was because I also ordered a Sigma flash, which would come later than the K100D. So I told Lynn not to call/sms me until both have arrived and is ready for purchase, becase I don't want to make 3 trips! :bsmilie:
They asked if I was interested in the K10D dual kit lens(dig this: selling at SGD 1400++ after GST!) but was not interested.
To be honest, initially I was furious that they 'sold' away my set and wanted to scream and shout, swear and curse(like le typique Singaporean) , but being in the service industry, I know how it feels like to be scolded/humiliated/cursed at by a customer.
They were quite apologetic. I don't blame the shop. Really. And stories of them speaking only mandarin is mambo jumbo because they spoke English which was 100% understandable(I understand only English and Malay.)
Hope this post answers your question.
