Brand new one is still selling for 1k or above nowadays. But you can get gray set (w/ shop warranty) from Orient Photo at SLS for about $860 nett.

Grey set = Imported set with warranty in other country, so shops selling tends to give their own warranty. Cheaper, but you don't get extra service from the service center here
If you going Malaysia, I heard Shrior Malaysia (Pentax distributor of Singapore & Malaysia) is having promotion price of RM1999 for K100D kit

You can probably find the Eastgear batteries in Eastgear...
Eastgear is in Peninsula Plaza (I think), level 2.
They had push carts in random places (like Far East Square), but I wouldn't count on those carts...
Eastgear has moved to 42 Horne Road around Lavendar MRT.

If the price diff is not too much, I would prefer to get the 'official' sets from Shriro.

this thread is really informative and helpful but there is still something lacking, although you can find them on the thread if you'll read them all. Can we add the store's location, phone numbers and email address?
i see the stores on the 1st page (op - cp - ap - ms) but there are guys like me who doesn't know where and how to contact them although i already know now coz i read the whole thread, but it will save us time if its available on the 1st page.
