SERIOUSLY... why are you guys wasting time pondering so much over the K7 purchase? At this price its almost too good to be true! Just go out there and buy it!

And if you don't like it... sell it off. You may be even lucky if the price once again goes up after the CNY promotion is over! At least you can play with it in the meantime. Or sell it at near cost and buy the cheaper K-x instead if it suits your fancy later. You don't lose much at all doing all this.

If I was in Singapore just now, I'd just go and get my hands on a K7 kit! Wouldn't even bat an eyelid in confusion... these offers come once in a blue moon, guys!!

Its almost like having your cake and eating it too! LOL!!

And that reminds me... Scorpioh, am still interested in reading up your comments on why the K7 is, in some ways, even better than an FF camera!!

okie guys, you guys are spreading the Pentax "virus" like the Ebola virus...... :sweat:.... somehow those who somehow find thier way here, will kena the virus deep deep.... need strong antidote.............

Anyway for my case, having own a D200 (its gone now and I am cameraless) but still with a 35mm/f2, a SB600, Tokina 100mm/Macro...... I am in quite a fix.....

I am looking initially at D90, for the reason that I have the above and the budget that I have I can go for a Tamron 17-50 and a 50mm/f1.4.....

But the calling of P is strong and the K7 with the price now is lethal...... :sweat:... but if I am to go with K7, then $$$$ sure not enough.... if I am to look at the following setup:

1. K7 Body
2. FA31mm/f1.8
3. DA70/f2.4
4. Tamron 17-50
5. Tamron 90mm
6. Pentax AFZ540

At the moment, the bare minimum I can start with are K7+FA31+DA70+AFZ540+Spare Battery...... but no matter how i press the calculator, the calcualtion still point to D90....... but with a better K7 body...... arrrrrghhhhh......... :dunno:

The FA 31mm is the highest priced lens among them, can look out for the discontinued? FA 35mm f/2 or Sigma 30mm.

The SB600 can be used with K7 on Auto mode so flash can be bought later.

Thanks bro for the advise.... ya... flash is one that will cost a fair bit but I need it, so no choice.... but interesting to know about other viable option for lenses, i know nuts about Pentax lenses.... will need to go back to calculator and press press.... :sweatsm:

Just to check, I saw somewhere in the forum (Cant find it now) that someone mention that Flash for Pentax not as good as Canikon... how true is that statement...... :dunno:

Hi bro, I not sure about Pentax pricing, but here is my calculation for the stuff if getting the D90:

1. Nikon D90 @ 1400
2. Tamron 17-50 @ 700
3. Nikon AF50mm/f1.4 @ 540

Total about S$2640

(I already have a Nikon 35mm/f2 and Tokina 100 Macro)

For Pentax, other then lenses, will need extra battery and wireless remote (can get later for remote)..... can bro here advise how I can get K7 and still keep to within the budget above.... not necessary for me to have equivalent for the above, but mention earlier, the bare minumum is to have K7+FA31(or equivalent)+DA70(or equivalent)+AFZ540(or equivalent)+Spare Battery???? :dunno:
