Can someone out there help me decides - K7 or Kx. Kx or K7. Cannot sleep for two nights already. Will not get both. Just one. More incline to K7 though. What do you guys think.
Hmm at least you have not a make decision, i make mine last week, but have to wait for the K-7 Lens WR to come in, which is in next week.

( The feel of having made the decision already and yet can't get it.. ARGH )
Frankly, which choice, it has to be decide yourself, maybe go down to the shops to have a feel of the camera? For K-7, the promotion is only lasting till CNY Eve (Feb 13th 2010). Limited quantity only. (SLR revo still have stocks for k-7, lens all have to wait next week, but how much lens they stock in, i do not know.) Whether the price would increase back to usual or a remain or drop further is unknown.
From what i read in the forum, k-x price is set to stay with the recent drop of price. For lightweight and Better ISO, using Rechargable AA battery and choice of colours is for k-x.
Below are some of the comments make by others, which i just copy and paste for easier reference, if you want somemore details to decide,
By woefulwabbit:
The K7 is at the in the same prosumer class of the Canon 7D and the Nikon D300s, basically they all have these prosumer features on top of the mid-range features:
1. Weather resistance
2. 100% view finder (although the 7D has been proven to 'cheat' a bit on that)
3. Electronic level
4. AF assist lamp

Honestly, imho its a mixed bag.
I like the K7 for the lower ISO range (100), the faster access to settings via the numerous buttons, the tighter AF confirm for manual lenses, electronic level indicator, higher build standard. However, Kx is cheaper and better in high ISO JPEG noise reduction.
So depends on what you want. End of the day, I wouldn't regret getting either.
By Elavan:
the k7 ISO performance breaks apart at 6400, acceptable up to 1600. 6400 can still be very good if effort is put in for post processing/noise reduction.
at base ISOs k-7 has unparalleled level of detail, 7D, D300s do not come close.
jpeg colours out-of-camera from Pentax are always very pleasing, more so than C/N. sony's jpegs are most juicy, but not suitable for every types of shooting.
don't let high ISO problem stop you from getting k7, you can work around this weakness pretty easily, it's really up to you.
of course naysayers will dissuade you with all sorts of excuses, but for the price (especially now with this red hot deal), and a little work on the computer, you can have the best of both high and low ISO.
Especially if you have an existing PP workflow, a few more clicks will not hurt, instead can bring you much benefit.
beats spending $1000 or more on a C or N..sorry for OT...
If really can't decide, buy the k-7 with the bundle WR lens and buy a k-x body only. Best of 2 worlds. (This is just my personal comment) ;p
