APD informed me yesterday that they will not be bringing in the Prestige model

Well, bad for those who really want it.

Since this one will be available to purchase (elsewhere) in Aug, I wonder if Ricoh/Pentax would announce any new dSLR camera during Sept Photokina ...

i may sound pessimistic but this does no augur well for us Pentaxians; my thots were prompted by the fact that a very limited edition K3 silver was still languishing in the showcase of a local shop 3 months after it arrived at our shores.
tho i was besotted by the K3 silver it was an extravagance for me.

Just an update on this. Heard APD brought in a few sets of this special edition K3. Whoever is interested to get one, better call in and see if still got one left.

When Feng Wei made the announcement this morning, I called APD. They said to go ask their dealers. I just contacted one and am awaiting a quote

First thing is I want to thank Feng Wei for giving the heads up last Friday. Checked with SLRR in the morning, they came back to me around lunch time and said they'll be receiving a set that very afternoon! :thumbsup:

SLRR watsapped me a pic and gave me a quote. I reserved it and went down to close the deal on Friday evening.

I took some quick and dirty pics. Not very good or experienced with product shooting so excuse the feeble attempt. Anyway thought i'd share pictures of this beauty with you guys...

So, at $1,72-, it comes with the Pentax O-CC90 camera case and an 8GB Toshiba SD card.
