oh believe me, the k20d will not be the one getting the foothold for pentax if it is at $888
because that means that hte k200d has to be equally auspicious, at $88! :bigeyes::bigeyes::bigeyes:

Good price ! Eh don't like that leh.. trying HARD not to let my credit card out of my wallet for the K20D. Must.... RESIST. :cry:
Price is very good i would say...but im staying with the K10D for the time being... iso and wb not issue for mi...only looking for a better dynamic range... hope K200D can provide me that :thumbsup: else have to look for a K100D then...

But as it has been said, they had to introduce a new kit lens because the 14MP resolution is too high for the original kit lens. I wonder when you buy the body only, how many of the original lenses will work optimally for the K20D?

Not better, merely optically optimised to maximise on the 14MP's resolution. At least that's how I was told...

? so it can resolve more lines? won't that make it therefore.. er, better in a way?
sorry, not very in touch with the technical aspect of lenses and the measurements etc

yes precisely.. if you happen to be taking a lot of landscapes primarily
then perhaps the k10d is more than sufficient, you remind me :bsmilie:
but then again, one never knows when he needs higher cleaner iso.. i think it is generally agreed that k20d is stronger than k10d in that aspect, no? and people always want more, it's a good to have feature rather than a must-have, undeniably, but if you have the moolah.. why not?
i am still trying to justify to myself if i should pay the extra money :bsmilie:

The K10D is a great camera (otherwise it wouldn't have won so many awards
). But after one week use of the K20D, I do find it's a better camera overall. If you think the pics from K20D are not attractive, that's mainly because it's not around long enough as the K10D. I'm sure you'd see some excellent photos taken by the K20D after more people using it long enough

btw, it was sooo super packed when i was going home.. heng i come early..

How much did you pay for it? If going there is not that inconvenient (i.e. you DON'T drive!), then may be worthwhile to wait till 8.30pm tomorrow evening to buy it...that's when prices come down or more goodies thrown in...
That works out to be US$1192.00 bf tax. I think that is the lowest it can get for quite some time.
Anyone with the latest update on the price at the IT show please let us know. Thanks!
